PPKK 09.05
In the frame of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2026 entitled ‘For The Time Being’, PPKK proposed to extend our own time to 100,000 years. The audience was invited to a lullaby-listening ritual, containing essential information on high-level nuclear waste (HLW). PPKK’s participation was part of the program of the platform ‘The Gift That Keeps On Giving’ at Forplay Society, curated by Voin de Voin. The listening session took place in Ibrahim Mahama’s installation ‘Parliament of Ghosts’ at the invitation of Madhavi Gore.
“Due to its toxicity to all life, HLW will be sealed in deep underground tunnel repositories for at least 100,000 years. The fundamental message—where these tunnels are located and that they should never be opened—must travel across tectonic shifts, collapsing civilizations, languages, and lifeforms. PPKK appropriates HLW as toxic land-art readymade crap and worships it through a sacred hypnoral dark-hole priest club. Through sleeping rituals, members are soothed by the lullabies, through which they transfer, share, and update the information from generation to generation.”
